A gorgeous 18ct yellow gold opal triplet ring. The flashes of colour within this piece are gorgeous and shine brightly when worn. This is a ring with a lot of depth and texture. The blue, pink, green, orange and purple hues shimmer in the light as if you have the whole universe sat upon your finger. 
An opal triplet consists of three layers. The first layer is a slice of opal which is then attached to a  second layer of backing. The third layer is what gives the dome-like appearance, this often captures the light beautifully allowing the depth and colour of your opal to glisten. 
Just like all opal pieces of jewellery, in order to keep your ring in the best condition, avoid water coming into contact with the opal where possible. Of course, washing your hands with your opal ring on is fine, you just want to avoid submerging them for long periods of time. For example, if you want to clean your opal ring, just use a very soft damp cloth.
As you can see the ring is in lovely used condition, there are a few imperfections within the stone which I have tried to photograph, this doesn't detract from the beauty of this ring.
