A truly beautiful Victorian solid silver vinaigrette, c.1850s, with delicate engraving and a warm patina only time can create. Open it and you’ll find the original pierced grille, still bright with age. The hallmarks... Crisp as a winter morning—fully struck and singing of quality.
These little treasures once held scented sponges to protect against the less-than-fragrant streets of the 19th century. I have been fortune enough to keep the original in place, this can be removed by request, this has no bale.
Romantic, useful, and just the right amount of curious. An object made to be held, loved, and carried.
