An unusual 22ct yellow gold band featuring an amethyst mounted in 9ct gold. This was a conversion piece made from two rings, joined together to form one. 
At the forefront of the design, is a statement vivid amethyst in the popular marquee cut. The profile is bold and the rich yellow contrasts effortlessly against the elegant purple amethyst. 
An unusual item, which I'm sure meant a lot to two individuals at one time. Made pre 1975 in Birmingham, a wonderful romantic ring.
